2017 Research Fellowship Recipient: Jenna Barganski
We are pleased to announce the recipient of the 2017 Oregon Women’s History Consortium Fellowship is Jenna Barganski. Ms. Barganski is a student in the Master of Arts in History program at Portland State University. Her project is an investigation of women convicted of homicide in Oregon from 1850 to 1950 with an emphasis on changing social and cultural views about women murderers and the results for women in the criminal justice system. The study is divided into three periods: 1850-1900, 1900-1920, and 1920-1950. We look forward to learning what Jenna discovers in the course of her research, and to share it with our supporters and the wider community of Oregon later this year.
